Travel – How do I get to Óbidos?

By Plane – The nearest airport is the Lisbon International Airport (Humberto Delgado). The easiest and cheapest way to travel to Óbidos is by bus. From the airport, take the underground to the Campo Grande Station. There hop on a bus directly to Óbidos (1-hour bus ride). 

By Bus – The name of the Bus company is Rodoviária do Oeste. The average price for a bus ticket is around €8,00. Please visit the following website for specific details concerning schedules: www.rodoviariadooeste.pt

By car – The distance from Lisbon to Óbidos is about 80 km or 50 miles. When leaving Lisbon, take the A8 Motorway directly to Óbidos. It will take approximately 40/50 minutes. Exist 15 | Autoestrada A8.

From Santarém, take the A15 Motorway directly to Óbidos.

From Porto take the A1 Motorway directly to Leiria, then the A8 Motorway directly to Óbidos.

By Train – If you would like to come by train, tickets will cost around €6,00. For more information, please visit the website www.cp.pt.

By Taxi – You may catch a taxi anywhere in Lisbon to Óbidos. You will have many taxis waiting at the airport and a trip will cost around €80,00 to €100,00. While in Óbidos, you will find a taxi square next to the Town’s Main Gate (Entrance).
